Either they mark everything as spam and dump it into the moderation queue, or they mark nothing as spam. I'm not really convinced that the current version of wordpress that I'm running is working correctly in that respect: it seems like there are some parts of the plugins in that area that are broken. I really need to upgrade to WP2.0 at some point, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. Symbee: Luckily, I can mark everything for Moderation, which is a pretty decent solution to the problem. It still means I have to go through occasionally and clear out the queue, but the site is still usable without comments, just slightly less interactive.
