Yeah, I know nothing about Canvas, so this is proving to be a bit more
than a bear than I would have thought it would be. Right now, I've tried
to modify it so that I can do selection of the bluetooth device via
bt_discover, and the program crashes as soon as it runs the canvas
calls. I think that it's definitely cranky about something.

This is probably because Listbox looses the app, so the code just drops
through to the bottom, because there's no waiting lock. Most of my apps
are written inside a very different framework: I'll redo your code, see
if I can get it to work, and let you know.

Note that it's also early on a Monday morning, and I'm really cranky
that someone else one-upped me :)
