[Symbian-hacks] Packaging Symbian Python Stuff

With GPSDisplay, I attempted to package the program so that it actually
had an icon. I made the icon. I then attempted to make the package.
This all was working relatively well under Linux (I have no access to
any Windows machines, note). Until I got to the icon bit.
I couldn't find bmconv, to create the bitmap. When I found it, it was
confusing. Once I actually created an mbm image, genaif choked on it.
(Generating a 80MB AIF file before I killed it.)
So, my problem with creating an application image (as Simon pointed out
in GPSDisplay comments) is completely unrelated to even my limited
graphical skill. It is lacking, but that is not the problem.
The problem is I found, after 6 hours attempting to package the damn
thing, that I just didn't care anymore. (Another example of where "Just
do it!" is a lot more difficult than a commenter might otherwise
assume.)
Has anyone successfully packaged something with a graphic using py2sisng
under Linux or other non-windows platforms?
